Wellington’s favourite fabric sale is venturing up north – yes we’ve got an event in Palmerston North! Put 28th of August into your diaries and head up the line (or across the line, or down the line…) and pick up some central New Zealand bargains!
You may be surprised to learn that there is a rather large fabricaholic population in Palmerston North. It has a proud tradition of quilting, and has a number of independent dedicated fabric and craft shops. For you bargain hunters there’s also some BRILL op shops with stuff you just won’t find in Wellie any more (Charles and Diana plate anyone?). Tell ALL your friends and family that live anywhere near Palmerston North, put up the fabric-a-brac Palmerston North poster wherever you can, and email me asap if you are interested in having a stall.
28 August 2010, 9am to 1pm
Crossroads, corner of Cook St and Church St
I will be posting some new pages up here with details soon and I’ll include some info on ‘things to do’ when you’re not picking up wonderful fabric treats.
If you happen to be in Palmy this week, the Altrusa club of Palmerston are holding a ‘Fabric, Buttons and Bows’ event, very similar to fabricabrac. It’s at the Salvation Army social room, corner of Princess and Church Sts, 10am to 2pm Sat 24 July.
